Board of Directors

Mr. Henri Baudet, Chairman of the board of directors, began his banking career in 1970 in Geneva, Switzerland. He successively specialized in shares and investment, financing, and corporate financing. In 1986, he became vice-president at the Banque de Dépôt and was head of the Private Customers division. In 1989, he became director of JP Jordan & Cie, a portfolio management company in Geneva. In 1997, with partners, he founded his own company – AS-B & Cie SA (Geneva) – specialized in asset management. He has developed a strong finance facilities expertise, as well as many contacts in the financial community.

Mr. Gerrit Bres was Vice-President (Operations) for many years and President from 1995 to 1999 of Bilopage Inc. and later Charcuterie La Tour Eiffel, divisions of McCain Foods Canada. He is also a former vice-president of the Canadian Meat Council (CMC). After retiring in 1999, he worked on special projects for Advitech in Quebec City from 2001 to 2003.

Mr. Michel Plante is a Chartered Accountant who worked at Coopers & Lybrand, Chartered Accountants, for ten years, and then held several financial management positions with various technological organizations. Recently, from 2003 to 2007, he was Vice-President Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary at Rocktest Limited, a company listed on the stock exchange. He is currently Deputy Chairman of Groupe Cabico Inc. Mr. Plante is also administrator of Collège Laval (a privately-held secondary education institution) and of Maniwaki Capital Inc. (TSX-Venture).

Doctor Xin Zhao is professor at the Department of Animal Science at McGill University (Montréal, Canada). In 1989, he obtained his Ph.D. at Cornell University in Animal Science and Physiology & Nutrition. He holds a Master’s Degree in Science from the Agriculture University of Nanjing, China. Dr. Zhao has been publishing numerous scientific articles in specialized journals for many years.

The honourable Pierre H. Vincent has been president of Immeubles Eau-Bois Inc. since 2000. He is the former vice-president (Legal and Government Affairs) of Biomasse International and of Uniforêt Inc. (Legal Affairs and Environment) where he was also corporate secretary. He was legal consultant at Joli-Cœur, Lacasse, Lemieux, Simard, St-Pierre, lawyers (business law, tax law, environment) and COB and CEO of Jean Coutu Pharmacies in the Mauricie region. As member of the House of Commons for Trois-Rivières from 1984 to 1993, he was parliamentary secretary successively of the Minister of Finance, of the Vice-Premier and of the Minister of Revenue. He was also Minister of Environment, Minister of Consumers and Commercial Affairs and Minister of State of Indian and Northern Affairs. Me Vincent is a member of the Quebec Bar since 1977. He holds a Master’s Degree (Tax Law) from the University of Sherbrooke obtained in 1980. Also, he is part-time lecturer at the Université du Québec in Trois-Rivières and a professional consultant in corporate law.

Officers:

Mr. Daniel Trudeau, President & CEO is the only full time paid employee of the company. Mr. Trudeau is in charge of setting up operations since August 24th 2006. M. Trudeau graduated from University of Montreal’s Ecole Polytechnique (Dipl. Engineering) and also holds an MBA from the Ecole des Hautes Études Commerciales. He has over 28 years of experience acquired in upper management positions performing consulting engineering, both in private and governmental organizations, and especially in service companies in the telecom and AV sectors. Mr. Trudeau brings a keen sense of entrepreneurship, strong leadership and operations management qualities.

Researchers:

Mr. Jacques Goulet is the co-inventor of the ProLactisTM process and holds a Ph.D. in applied microbiology from McGill University (Montréal, Canada) He is tenured professor in Food Sciences and Nutrition at Laval University (Québec, Canada) and has held the position of scientific director of the Rosell-Lallemand Institute, specialized in the production of yeasts and lactic bacteria. He has published numerous articles in scientific journals and designed novel food processing technologies that included yeast production and the conversion of by-products. Mr. Goulet will head Green Yeast’s Scientific Committee, the mandate of which will be defined soon.

Michel DeBlois is co-inventor of the ProLactisTM process and has received training in mechanical engineering at Laval University. Over the years he has developed a significant expertise in polymers and their applications. He currently acts as president of MD Technologie Inc, a consulting firm, and as associate at Redal Inc. a company specializing in ecological processing of food industry by-products.

Mr. Lucien Pomerleau obtained a Master’s Degree in Food Science and Technology at Université Laval (Québec, Canada) in 1988. Presently, he is CEO of Redal Inc., a a company specializing in ecological processing of food industry by-products. He is also CEO of Alpha-Biotech 2000, a consulting firm in the field of food processing.
